Bronies aren’t like MSM or videogame critics on official websites.
If the fans can do better chibi ponies for free, what does that say about the art team that worked on this?
Actually that’s not true it was always created to appeal to both kids and their parents, I don’t know what it’s like where you come from, but to the majority of the world parents are adults, it was just more successful on that than originally hope
Edited
that’s asking for omnipotence and omniscience out of people.
Those “adults” should still have proper expectations.
so’s milo and murphy’s law
so’s lilo and stitch
so’s pokemon
it goes to show that regardless of what tv show, its going to gather adults who like it. Using the “it IS a kid’s show” and the “the adult fandom was an accident” isn’t much of a good defense
But it IS a kid’s show. MLP was made to be seen and understood by children. The adult fandom happened completely by accident.
it may be just a drawing, but rly the sight of smiles or mouth expressions going straight into a character’s eyes really grinds the gears.
Implying there arent millions of kids that do like this type of content.
Your cousins are not the standard. And if millions of kids didnt like dumb content the why do terrible people like Jake and Logan Paul succeed?
It goes into her god damn eye. Its disgusting
take it easy son, it’s just a drawing, lol
Yeah, clearly everyone is only upset that the show isn’t being aimed at them, that’s the only reason they could be upset and there is no other possibility.
On a side note, Pinkie looks completely retarded in the trailer and Rainbow dash’s shit eating grin makes me want to punch her. Its not a cute shit eating grin, its a disgusting one.
This. Wish I can upvote comments.
At least one of the people he drone striked was stateside. He was an American citizen that was suspected on flimsy evidence of being a terrorist. So instead of investigating and going through due process, Obama just went “Fuck it” and blew the guy up.
He did some bad things stateside too.
No actually, we don’t. Obama did drone strike a few poeple, but we hate him for it and automatically makes him one of worst presidents we ever had.
It doesn’t mean you’re not allowed to have an opinion. The reality is that people just don’t want to take that fact (made for kids) into account and it goes into the realm of entitlement.
If it doesn’t appeal to the adults, oh well. It wasn’t really made for you in the first place. That’s the truth. If the kids like the content and it was made for the kids. Then it’s a success. Making it for the adults is nothing more than a cherry on top.

Yeah, the few, but you said countless have been pulled off. And I didn’t say “it’s not supposed to entertain adults.” My point was that doing so is not the primary aim, so it shouldn’t be treated like it is.

Why is it when a children’s show is entertaining to kids and adults, we say “Oh, well. It was just a happy accident.” Yet, if a children’s show is bland and lifeless, we say “Well, it’s for kids. It’s not supposed to be entertaining to us.” I’m not writing it off yet either, but you act as if it being made for children excludes adults from being allowed to have an opinion. Making something appeal to adults as well as children requires actual effort, yet countless cartoons have pulled it off. This is not the same as being tailored to adults. It is not taking anything away from children. Why does something get a pass on quality because it’s for kids?
This woman sums it up pretty well: http://www.embracethechaos.ca/blog/2011/8/22/do-kids-tv-shows-have-to-be-so-bad.html
“Will our kids remember the bulk of the shows they watch? No. But they will remember the few shows that scared them, that moved them, that showed them that the world is a complicated place that needs complicated personalities to make a difference.”
Bud, there are shows I would tune into even while knowing “this shit sucks.”
I’m not assuming anything because I don’t know how it will be, and because of that, I’m not yet willing to write it off frothing at the mouth. I wouldn’t be anyway. If disinterested, I’d just go “pass” & be on my way. I mean, I used to wish death on characters I didn’t like who were in shows I liked. Then I turned 11.
High standards for adults or for kids? Kids’ standards are bound to be lower because of their more limited life experiences, which is why few shows are actually as good as remembered. “Why did I like this?” Because your worldview was far more simplistic & your mind less developed. Anyway, I think it presumptuous for the non-target demographic to demand change for benign media when the target hasn’t made its own reaction known. Getting upset on their behalf is condescending and stupid.
