You’re not exactly correct. Unlike most countries, if they see a show they really like and it stops running…they will buy the animation team and continue it on their own, like Lilo and Stitch spawned Stitch! in Japan. That means if FiM ever ends…its not necessarily the end.
And considering the very familiar Jap trope characteristics found in Rainbow Dash, Twilight, Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie, not to mention its foreign popularity, the chances of this happening are statistically high.
Megumi Ogata totally should voice Spike, while I’d love tom hear Kikuko Inoue as Celestia and Michiko Neya as Luna.
Also, Yukari Tamura for Fluttershy (with Norio Wakamoto as Flutterguy).
