Very heavily inspired by Earthsong9405 and her sketch of centaur/viking Twilight Sparkle.

I made a sketch of this line up during class today because I couldn’t stop thinking about that bad ass drawing.

If I were to make a Vkiking!AU starring the mane 6 it would be this. A bit more grim and dreary than what Earth does on a regular basis but I think I’d make it Raritwi in the end. (Has the “sin” infected me too?!)

In this AU, the centaur race is very powerful and viking like; being known for their seafaring and pillaging. They are very prolific in magic and in war strategy/battle. They are also known for being slave owners.

Light Between Day and Night, or in Equish, Twilight Sparkle, is a very powerful and respected priestess and mage among her people. She owns a large portion of land had has many farms. Her brother, Light Of Strong Metal (Shining Armor), is a feared and revered war general. As a powerful land owner, Twi has plenty of resources to at her disposal and wealth enough to purchase slaves to tend her property. Among them are the pony captives from the pony nation.

Born a slave, Jack Apple (AJ), is a farmhand on Twi’s land. She started out as a slave for Twi’s parents but was given to their daughter as a means to help her begin her own life. She’s nearly the same as the show, hard headed and honest, but not as confrontational. Instead of fighting slave drivers, she protects others from them.

Rainbow (RD) is a runaway slave who, isntead of returning to the nation she was stolen from as a child, stays in the wilderness of the centaur lands, freeing other slaves and sabotaging slave owners’ land. She once belonged to the centaur known as Lord Rich Blooded (Prince Blueblood) who wanted to wait until she was grown before he pulled all her wing feathers out to use for decoration.

Meek or Shy (Fluttershy), also used to belong to Lord Rich Blooded. It is assumed that she was abused and traumitized as a child becuase she refuses to speak unless absolutely necessary. She actually doesn’t belong to Twilight, she was bought by the centaur Rose and Pastry (Pinkie Pie), who saved all her gold from working as a hired musician to take her off the Lord’s hands. She would never admit it but she became quite enamoured with the slim, delicate maid and couldn’t bear to see her unhappy. She took her with her when she left Lord Rich Blooded’s employment and went to work for Twilight as a hired bodyguard.

Rarity retains her name as she was captured at a very late age in comparison to the others. She was a duchess in a coastal city and was kidnapped by some serfs on Twilight’s land. She piqued Twilight’s interest so she took her as her serf’s tribute to her. Despite Rarity being an absolutely awful housemaid (due to her being raised as the served not the server), Twilight grew attached to her.

In pony land they do wear clothes. All slaves in the centaur nation are either nekkid or have skirts but no tops, as Centaurs don’t wear anything except jewelry and armor. They are also tattooed with a symbol of their owner’s cutie mark over their own.
