Yeah, it’s a mystery why they didn’t hire Andrea for this. I honestly don’t think it’s because of the payment. They’re paying her right now to voice Pinkie in Pony Life. And for a big corporation paying one voice actress for one commercial is a very small amount of money. Maybe they wanted to slap this thing together extremely quickly, so they found someone local to the animation studio, instead of arranging a schedule with Andrea and voicing it “at a distance”, which takes a bit more time and effort. That’s a pretty petty reason too, but it’s a dumb move on Hasbro’s part no matter how you look at it.

This show might have been interesting if they, you know, kept the voice actress that has done Pinkie for the last decade. I have a feeling they brought this person in because they would’ve had to pay Andrea Libman more than they wanted to. I remember her saying she wasn’t even approached about it. She didn’t even get the opportunity to say no. Even worse, they didn’t even TRY to make her sound right. Nothing against the actress, but her voice is way too low and doesn’t have near the right level of energy.

Why is this getting worse? Why her mane is like that, hair tech was fine in the last one? It’s all wobbly and weird now. Why the voice actor doesn’t sound anything like Pinkie Pie 90% of the time? Why is this getting worse?
