Also, Spike did the right thing and returned Peewee to his family because he had no idea how to take care of him.
 
Realistically? Peewee has faded into the background and will most likely never be seen or heard again.

He’ll show up at the very end of the episode. Twilight will get back and ask how Peewee handled all the other animals, Spike will freak out because he completely forgot about him, and wrap it all up with big “Dear Princess Celestia” about the responsibilities of pet ownership.
