This being MT’s first M4 (that I know of) may be a factor too.
It also occurs to me that the butt stock might be intended to be in the collapsed position – despite looking like an M16 stock.
Both the stock and handguard appear to be disproportionately small, perhaps 2/3 of the size they are in reality, although the receiver appears close to full size. Even if just the stock was slightly longer, it wouldn’t look so disproportionate. It does occur to me that this is part of the art style, just wanted to point it out.
Looks about rightish for an M4 carbine to me, maybe a bit smaller than a real one.
