What made “Secret of My Excess” better than every other episode, is that while “Excess” was also a story of bad things happening to Spike, it was a compelling tale about a noble should struggling to overcome the beast within. All the others are just cheap Spikeabuse played for laughs.

I thought this one was pretty good. Forgettable but enjoyable.
 
So far my thoughts on his episodes have been:
 
Owls well: Meh.  
Secret of my excess: Actually pretty good.  
Dragon Quest: decent. Not my favorite but fine.  
Spike at your service: My least favorite ep. of the whole show so far.  
Sidekicks: Decent. Pretty funny if forgettable.
