Because you smell like that slightly musty smell that occasionally comes through the air conditioner, but then when you ask someone else if they smell it the smell disappears in the time it takes them to walk over.

Oh, Berry Punch, it’s because you drink too much. When you’re sober everypony loves you. But when you’re drunk, you get it into your head that everypony hates you. You see, it’s not about every other pony but rather it’s all about you. The alcohol allows your inner securities to manifest themselves in the foreground of your mind. Get rid of the bottle. Some ponies are happy drunks, other are angry and some are even embarrassing, but you, Berry Punch, you’re a sad drunk.
 
That momment when you realize you’re taking time to attempt at cheering up a pony and explaining the root of her emotional state, but hey, she’s a nice pony, she deserves to be happy too.
