I don’t think it wouldn’t have been a problem that Peewee got reunited with his parents.I think it was on how was delivered.
 
In Dragon Quest,everything suggested that Peewee was going to be around at least for some time.
 
Heck,they could have made an episode about his parents and how he got reunited with them.
 
But Nope…
