Grogar didn’t put his bell inside the cave on the mountain. It was put there by Gusty the Great after she defeated him and hid it away since she couldn’t destroy it. Also in the episode Frenemies there was an old earth pony named Rusty Bucket who guarded the mountain to prevent ponies from reaching the summit (although Chrysalis, Tirek, and Cozy Glow were able to get past him.) Plus, Discord in the form of Grogar said that the mountain was protected by magical winds, which were most likely placed there by Gusty since she’s known to control wind with her magic, hence her name. So the mountain was not unguarded. Although I do agree that in G1 Grogar was a fool for getting tricked by that kid with a tape recorder.

Yeah, but I don’t see how a character based on an idiot who was tricked by a kid using a tape recorder and left his bell (his one and only weakness) in an easy to find place with no one guarding it would be any more intelligent than Discord.

>in g4 he was arrogant enough to believe three manipulative power-hungry sociopaths would stay loyal to him just because he says so, and gave them no reason to like him either.
That wasn’t Grogar’s doing, that was just Discord being an absolute moron.
Yeah…I doubt that was what would have happened even if he was the villain of the finale. Far more likely, the exact same thing that did happen would have happened just with a far more boring antagonist instead of the villain trio doing it.
Remember, Grogar was never anything even resembling Thanos, neither in g1 or in g4…in fact, in his original appearance he was just a goofy Saturday morning cartoon villain who was kind of an idiot, and in g4 he was arrogant enough to believe three manipulative power-hungry sociopaths would stay loyal to him just because he says so, and gave them no reason to like him either. Plus, he had the personality of a rock and was mostly placed in the background so the trio could get all the focus and development. Face it, he was never meant to be the finale villain.

Or maiby that Will happened util they tried somethink new siempre hay algo nuevo so don’t lose Hope this series i think it made that clear in a way or other.
I was talking about him leaving the bell unguarded in G1.

Yeah, and the mane 6 would have got their shit kicked in!
Because they might have to actually fight him?
