Pumpkin Spice Cake and Almond Pound Cake (mostly referred to by Pound Cake), were born to Mrs and Mr Cake when they were quite old, since they were too busy taking care of SugarCube Corner to think about having children, imagine their surprise when they had both an unicorn and a pegasus.
 
Pumpkin Cake is the most calm of the twins, she inherited the more chubby frame of her mother, and his father mane and coat colours. When she was little her classmates made fun of her. With the help of her mom she decided to focus on cooking and baking, and discovered the immense culinary talent she had. Now she is the executive chef in the Crystal Empire castle. Is pretty oblivious to Princess Flurry Heart flirting.She has rebel hair,and tries to tame it with ribbons and accessories, her moms says that it reminds her of a dear old friend.
 
Pound Cake is the energetic twin, he is more on the tall side and got his mane and coat colours from his mother side. He defended his sister from bullies and from there he knew he wanted to protect people. He is REALLY strong and can carry heavy weights and packages, this is what his cutiemark represents. He growed up to be a bodyguard, but works half time helping his sister, he took baking more as a hobby, but has talent in decorating cakes, who knew that such a heavy guy could make the most delicate sugar frosting flowers?. He is really good friends with Princess Flurry, and helps her in her attempts of romancing his sister.
