I suppose their aversion of that cliche is the reason I like the FlimFlam Brothers so much. Plenty of magic, but instead of trying to conquer the world or inflate their own egos, they were just in it for the bucks.

Something about how wizards are just the kind of people who wouldn’t think of that. They always tend towards the dramatic or extreme. Same reason why wizards don’t just band together and rule everyone else - they’re usually too individualistic and selfish.

Why has nobody ever thought to use necromancy to run a business? Whenever you met a Necromancer, he’s either worshipping a demon or a dark god (a stupid idea on so many levels) or trying to conquer the world. Zombie labor is free and they work 24/7, it’d be a gold mine!
