I always prefer Pinkie to have some squishability. It’s just more realistic for not everyone to be different heads pasted onto the same body, and Pinkie is very active and it’s been shown (in comedic ways, usually, of course) that her strength is not Maud’s level but still impressive, and upgradable with the right apocalypse, but she has a major sweet tooth and works at Sugarcube Corner - not a recipe for a l’il waif, obviously. So, a good Pinkie has level of chub that makes for perfect snugglability as well as looking strong enough to casually pick up three of you like you were weightless (because she could, easily.)

But also never stops moving and has this level of power, played for humor or not:  

 
(And, that time Bulk Biceps landed on top of her and some others and she just effortlessly tosses him aside, and the time she ran at Flash speed leaving a trail like RD, maybe even going faster than her normal speed as Fili-Second. But I can’t find that.)
 
So, it’s wonderful and sadly rare to see her with a design that reflects both. Right combination of plump but solid and powerful and not just a blob.
