Personality:  
As the daughter of the Element of Honesty, Pristine Melody has a strong set of values that she holds dear. She is steadfast about staying honest and true to herself and does her best to live by those values. However, she isn’t always successful as she is also quite self-centered and often doesn’t think things through before she acts. It could come from her lifestyle as a somewhat-spoiled pop star, but either way it’s unfortunately in her nature. Even if she repeats the same mistakes over and over again, Mel is always earnest in her desire to make up for them and live up to her morals.  
Relationships:  
Coming from such a tight-knit family, Mel is naturally close with both of her parents. Both Applejack and Coloratura raised her to believe in honesty and staying true to herself, and she tries her best to follow in their hoofsteps. She would say she’s a bit closer with her Mum Rara, who inspired and helps her with her musical career. But of course she wouldn’t trade either of them for the world!  
While Acapella “Pelly” Apple is much less outgoing than her, Mel adores her younger sister as well. The two make a musical team as Mel is the star who sings and performs for all to see, while Pelly helps her write her songs behind the scenes. This setup works well for them, but still Mel wishes Pelly would be just a little more outgoing with her talents. Maybe someday!  
As a pop star, Mel has tons of adoring fans. One in particular is Turquoise Edge, who goes undercover to her concerts as a mare named Brimstone Forrest (though she doesn’t find this out until later). Though they were rivals as fillies, Mel is pleasantly surprised that Turq became such a big fan of hers. Their relationship may develop into something more. But is it meant to last?  
When she was a younger teen, Mel dated Sweetheart White, the daughter of her Ma’s rival Strawberry Sunrise. They both dated just to be rebellious, but soon found that they have nothing in common. Mel just didn’t enjoy spending their dates listening to Sweetheart ramble about her conspiracy theories. The relationship didn’t last long, but they stayed acquainted.  
As a pretty feminine gal, Mel enjoys spa dates and gossip just as much as any filly. She is pretty good friends with Radiant Jewel and Paint Swirl for this reason. They love nothing more than an day of pampering and girl talk whenever they get the chance.
