Despite being the daughter of a royal guard, Sentinel Shield is not a fighter at heart. Instead, she is more nurturing, which is why she left boot camp long ago to pursue a life of growing flowers. Though she doesn’t regret her time in boot camp and remains in touch with some of the friends she made there, she is much happier minding her own business and doing what she loves. Still, boot camp has left an impact on Sentinel as she has a large protective streak. She is by no means a pushover, able to defend herself and any of her friends when needed—even if it means defending one old friend against another and sometimes letting friendships go.

A humble country boy at heart, Cherry Bliss is friendly, reliable, and always ready to offer a helping hoof. He sees the good in everypony, and wants to do the right thing by helping others with whatever they may need. He’s dependable, as he always follows through on his resolutions to the best of his ability. Cherry is also a hopeless romantic, with whimsical fantasies of finding love one day, the current object of his affections being his best friend Feather Fieldgoal. He falls in love easily and has a rather unrealistic view of what love should be, not to mention being very naïve in general. Because of this, he is quite sensitive and easily hurt, but he tries to hide it under a smile. He truly is as pure and sweet as a cherry.
