Description

“Sun can burn crops. But take it away — and they will not grow”(C) Lightrise, gentle heliadoe
Heliadoes are spirits of light, warm and fire, spirits of things that can make others better if it’s under control. They can be seen everywhere where is no pitch darkness — in sunbathed skies, in forge fire, in volcanoes, even in moonlight and in candle flame. Kind and tender, like deeryads, heliadoes more than other spirits help mortals — but often they have a lack of understanding their power. You should always be careful, while speaking with these light spirits — if you appear too close to heliadoe you can get a blindness or singes.
The more heliadoe lives, the more she understands how to control her radiance. This knowing comes with time — but it will come quicker, if heliadoe has someone to care about. It’s sometimes her wards are helping her, limiting and directing her sun and flame with advices and lessons, while she helps with melting metals, lighting up the nights and giving plants needful light for growing. And when lost travelers find their way by guidance of shining figure or when smith makes his masterpiece with help of living flame, it tells of heliadoe as one, who understands her abilities… and knows how to make good deeds with them. © callingAscetic
