It probably wouldn’t resize itself, but I think it could just be tilted to the side if the door or passageway was too thin for it

Interesting. Can she alter the ring’s size? Because I feel it will be a nuisance if she tries to get there something like a door frame. I do love the concept would love to see more of her.

See this is why I should have remembered to add text, basically all of the pinkish to purple area of her is made of ectoplasm or whatever, and the ring is basically acting as a focus to stabilize that part of her body. Also I figure in situations like DND it would be equivalent to her holy symbol and she can cast spells through it.
 
She’d basically be dead if not for the ring though is a bit of the catch there. The black markings around her hooves also perform that same purpose, but specifically just for ensuring the circulation of the ectoplasm to the central core of where the magic is being focused, so I guess in that sense it’s a little like blood. They’re larger and more prominent around her hind legs because of the fact that there’s more ectoplasm to stabilize and move around, but going in the same vein of things that ectoplasm might actually flow through her regular horsey veins too.
 
Also if you didn’t notice her tail floats above her, that’s cause it’s also kind of a focusing ring, but using it more just to keep the tail held in place rather than providing support to her body
