I believe the reason people react as they do to end-of-the-movie/game forms is that they haven’t had the entire movie/game to get used to it.

The End wasn't The End - Found a new home after the great exodus of 2012

My major gripe is that imp Midna had such a fun and unique character design (prehensile ponytail!) whereas humanoid Midna was pretty much one of those generic fanservice “babes” that videogames seem to love these days. Uggh. It’s like the end of Beauty and the Beast when the infinitely huggable Beast turned into some generic dude.
 
Looks like Twilight isn’t the only controversial Princess!
