There is absolutely a difference in calling someone the n word or another slur as a joke, as in goofing around with friends, and being intentfully malicious towards a race of people who cannot change the color of their skin. If you can’t see that, then this post is for you.
For one, start here: Also racism is bad? - if you don’t support racism, then it’s not addressed to you.
Again - it would be really great if everyone could stop being assholes to each other.

Well, given that every comment in this thread is permanent and readily available, that should be stupendously easy to prove.
So, how about you point out exactly who you’re talking about, and what they said.
LOL there are like half a dozen people in here who aren’t nearly as good at ~~I’M NOT TOUCHING YOOOUUU!!~~ as they apparently think they are.
It’s kinda sad how many people seem to sincerely believe that they’re actually fooling anyone.

Who here is saying racism is good
Stop counting angels on pins.
If the statement being made by this image triggers you, then hide the image and go to the Political Generals and talk about how great racism is to your heart’s content, or until we get tired of putting up with your shit.
Clearly, you don’t.
A strawman fallacy is committed when a person misrepresents an argument to make it easier to defeat.
That’s not what Pagan did. Pagan called the validity of your sources into question. Which is entirely reasonable, as nobody has any reason to believe that Respectable Lawyer knows what he’s talking about.

using twitter as a source for every one of those
uh
do you actually know what “straw man” means, because
also love how you completely ignored my original comment so you could try and pick apart the one part at the end, cause why address the actual meat of the issue when you can double down on something that isn’t even the thing we were talking about. Instead of running around the site (you know that thing you accused me of doing) and acting like an ass to everyone you remotely disagree with, maybe you should actually try talking to them rather than assuming everyone is a racist out to get you.
>using twitter as a source for every one of those
yeah I’m not touching that shit
did you just accuse me of straw manning for calling out your straw man? Damn, that’s a new one.
Ah, yes, noted bullshit artist Andy Ngo, who was stomped after helping lead a violent unprovoked attack on a bar by a gang of fascist thugs and repeatedly doxxing one of the innocent patrons who got her neck broken by a neo-nazi with a baton.
Oh, and not only was that incident in Portland instigated by a white supremacist (with a long arrest record for violent attacks!) who tried to ram his bike into a crowd of protesters, Portland PD in fact immediately moved in to respond.
any old person in general in your eyes equals a racist
Hey, remind me again what that term is for making up an argument and pretending your opponent said it because it’s easier to argue against than what they actually said?
none of them but I’m glad to see that mentioning any old person in general in your eyes equals a racist, no it was just a guy in a maga hat and a bunch of Antifa thugs chased him down and beat him with a crowbar, then you have Andy Kno, the gay Asian reporter who was chased down and beaten by Antifa and had his camera stolen, or the man in Portland who got dragged out of his car and beaten in full view of police, who did nothing.

Called a spade a spade.
Also, this thread was very dead until you and the other anon commented.
You sparked the flames. What have you done.
pulling out a crowbar and bashing an old mans head in
What, do you mean ~~Based Spartan~~, a well-known white supremacist agitator who’d been shoving and punching protesters all day before he got stomped, or John Blum, a threeper neo-nazi who’d been attacking random protesters with a baton before he got stomped? Or was it the guy on the bus who’d been attacking protesters with a hammer before he got it taken away from him and stomped? Maybe it was the “old man” who tried (unsuccesfully, because he was too stupid to take the safety off) to shoot a Black guy who was escorting an elderly disabled man away from a crowd of screeching white supremacists? You need to be more clear about which violent racist you’re defending here.
Bitching at people online is anti useful to what you claim to want. Being a raging douchebag toward people only drives them away from you. Nobody has ever changed their minds because they were called mean names on the internet.
Whereas there are numerous detailed records of people who have done exactly what you so sardonically dismiss; and have seen positive results.
Maybe being polite is a slower and less satisfying method than you would prefer, but it is also 100% more effective than your method.
You and people like you want to think that you’re doing a good thing by throwing temper tantrums online and in real life, but all you’re really doing is acting like children.

it is actually, in fact there’s a black man who has converted over 200 white nationalists and got them to turn in their robes by simply talking to them, screaming and insulting people over their ideology has never worked at converting anybody, it just makes you look like a desperate asshole. It’s also why so many progressives are turning away from the left and becoming moderates or republicans, because they actually sit down and have debates and discussions about this stuff in a polite manner rather than getting in people’s faces and screeching about how wrong and immoral they are, then pulling out a crowbar and bashing an old mans head in.

Oh yeah, letting racist asshats go unchallenged is a great plan, it has tons of historical success stories behind it. It’s a well-known Science Fact™ that “being polite to white supremacists” is a very effective method at preventing them from normalizing their ignorant bullshit.
It’s okay to be anti-racist, but being a toxic asshole about it is not.
