It’s from the Princess Coronation promo, and that scene hasn’t appeared yet, and with the elements on them, it’s likely to be E13. Check the source, though her sides weren’t shown, Twilight doesn’t really look like an alicorn. Even if she is, the show still looks good, so calm down.

Possibly, but he was a returning villain. I think it takes a two parter to fit in what the villain wants and some of his backstory.

Then again, Discord’s reformation was in the 22-minute limit when it seemed like a two-parter kind of thing, so anything goes really.
So far, those have only been in Two-Parters.
This episode is a single episode. The only other single episode season finale was the GGG episode, and it had no villain.
I thought I replied to the wrong comment for a sec there. Luckily not.
I mean that there’s typically something trying to destroy/control Equestria in most of the finales and season-opening episodes, even ones “like Canterlot Wedding” where no conflict is apparent until the episode comes out. This evil something causing issues may or may not require the elements to deal with, leaning toward needing them.
I dunno, it could be for the movie.

Nope, the screenshots that show her that were released on EW show her as the same size.

What? What does that have to do with what I said?
Because of the typical structure of most of the finales and first episodes of each season:
-Plot exposition
-Character building
-Situational/character drama
-OH FUCK WE’RE ALL GONNA DIE SOMETHING IS THREATENING THE KINGDOM
-All is good now and everyone learned that evil beings must die/friendship is good
Twilight is slightly bigger as an alicorn, while in that scene she looks the same size as the rest of the mane 6. And as I said, whether she is an alicorn or not, does that scene look like anything is ruined?
Why would they need the elements to crown Twilight? Having the elements, which reflect the virtues of the Mane Six, help restore the Manes to their proper selves makes more sense.
Princess Coronation doesn’t really fit with what we’ve heard of Ep13.
Also, why would they need the elements in that episode?
