The mayor didn’t lie! My love is alive again! I had my reservations of course, but when I saw that Emilia had her legs back I knew I had to at least try asking the Seeker about Begonia.
Mulberry turns the page. This one is from a few days later.

For the first few days things were going alright. What happened? It’s like her mind is slowly fading. She is becoming more taciturn and when I finally did wake her she got… Violent. I had to chain Begonia up. For a time I tried to keep her here in the store but… I finally decided that it was time to call the doctor. He took her back to the City Hall for treatment. By all things good, please let her get better. I can’t lose her again.
The mare sits down at the bed confused. Did Hard Tack bring someone back from the dead or something? And who’s Emilia? Oh wait, isn’t that the gryphon lady from the inn?

Everytime I go to visit Begonia the doctor forestalls me, telling me that she is sick, and that she is contagious. I couldn’t help myself however, and so I snuck into the infirmary during the night. My love wasn’t there! What’s going on here?
She turns the page, and Mulberry finds this entry is from the day before she arrived.

I found Begonia in the smokehouse. She is still alive but… I’m beginning to think that crazy fool upstairs may have been right all along. I think I shall pay Antoine a visit tonight. Hopefully it’s not to late!
