I do, I was just stating that, depending on how well episode 13 was done would determine how well it would have been to end the series there.
 
In all honesty, if I were to pick an episode already aired to end the show on, I’d probably chose either Elements of Harmony or A Canterlot Wedding

I’m tempted to agree with you there OP…but I tend to dislike media that ends on a major paradigm shift, unless said paradigm shift was foreshadowed and built up to. One area for which I am willing to concede to the anti-twicorn crowd is that it may be coming around too soon in terms of show narrative, which is why I’m somewhat against the show ending with twilight’s coronation.
 
One of the other reasons I’m against the series ending there is as Scpx said: there’s still a lot of the universe to explore, not to mention other secondary characters like Celestia and Luna.
 
If done well, sure, it would be an acceptable place to end the series; but IMHO, I feel that there is still some stories to tell

yes, but it was too soon, we also could and still can explore this universe a little more.  
i’m still rather angry, not by the fact that she becomes a princess, or that as i said it’s too soon for that, but for the way it happens.  
twilight messes up and solves it.  
twilight caused the trouble she has to solve, (may be by any outstanding means even the show has already shown that others did that in the past without being regarded royalty at least no explicitly) and that is labeled at her “destiny” and makes her worth of becoming a princess. Solving the problems you made by yourself shouldn’t be rewarded, the reward is that you solved it, it’s worth of reward when you solve problems caused by others.  
i would be mad if the problem was caused by a mayor legendary creature that twilight defeated herself, that would be worth of a “prophecy” and a better “destiny”

Would be, if there wasn’t a S4.

What makes me angry is the whole “you can become a pretty princess just by doing the right things!” message they want to offer. I think this would be a perfect chance for a “being a princess involves a lot of responsibility and royal duty, and there’s more to it than just tea parties and whatnot” type Aesop.

Change is bad m’kay can’t possibly be good if something changes, sheesh.

Yeah, actually, I feel the same way. I didn’t care about the alicorn thing when I thought it would be the last episode of the show - I thought it would be a cool ending. It’s the possibility of Twilight being an alicorn in S4 that I dislike.

Honestly I would be much more behind the whole Alicorn Princess Twilight thing if it WAS, but S4 has already been confirmed to be in production.
