One of many things I like about both shows is that they weren’t afraid to change the status quo many times.

This has a net negative score. Which means the votes are in, and the status quo is officially a good thing.

Only thing I’ve been pleasantly surprised about in recent years is the crystal ponies. Not the episode, the ponies themselves. I expected it a lot more obnoxious than a bunch of gradient-maned ponies with a love of using “crystal” for every adjective. Apparently they don’t have a thesaurus in that big library of theirs.

The Status Quo isn’t always a good thing. Adventure Time is an example of that. Jake’s puppies could have given Jake a great story about balancing his responsibilities. Instead, back to status quo as a guy living with Finn.
 
And I’m really sad about that. One of his kids was Mabel from Gravity Falls.

I know, that’s why Rainbow Dash should become a wonderbolt and CMC should get their cutie marks. The rest may stay the same.

Jake had puppies with Lady Rainicorn but at the end of the episode he decided to continue living with Finn because his puppies “didn’t need him anymore” because they grow up really fast.  
Not a good show to use as an example of ‘not maintaining the status quo’.

Adventure Time universe seems like a Discord’s-gone-loose world to me. I like it though XD
