“I’m sorry Princess, she said she had a headache this morning and then she just started shivering and I took her to her bed but she’s still shivering and sweating so I wrote a letter to you because you might know more than me–!”
“It’s quite alright, Spike” Celestia said, “you did everything exactly as you should.”
He gulped, fins falling flat. “Wh-what’s going on with her, princess? She said her magic wasn’t working as well either; could it be–”
“Spike, spike”, Celestia cooed, “in all honesty… I can’t say I have any idea what she’s come down with– Twilight here is the only expert on this primal form of magic. But I can say I know exactly what the symptoms of flu are, so we’ll work with that.”
“W… what should I do??” spike asked.
“Just treat it like any other sickness Spike… Make sure that she drinks plenty of fluids, takes medication for her headaches and coughs and sleeps as long as she can. And if that’s not enough for you, I’ll do all I can to help by sending for my best physicians; and you and your friends can send for Zecora as well.” Tenderly, she laid her own hoof on Twilight’s shoulder. “You’re doing a good job caring for her already; and I think we can trust that Twilight is not frail as a kitten. She’ll make it out of this just fine.”
