(also he has a pocket dimension he can jump to whenever he feels like it, but he’d probably stay in pony world to watch people panic)
That’s fine, but comments on images should be apropos the image, not tangental subjects. If you want to talk about that other stuff, that’s what our forums are for.

Sorry about that, whenever I tend to speak my mind I try my very best to be civil about things. I’m not even irritated to tell the truth. My last post was just my way of showing people that I wasn’t trying to be some spiteful person, I think thats the issue with messaging sometimes. It’s hard to pick up on the certain nuances of a conversation than it is speaking to someone in person.

@chaotic-7
Yeah, that was really off topic. I hope you have it out of your system now.
I’m gonna go with…
I guess you could look at it like that.
You can always make bank off something people are really obsessed with!
Even if people kinda leave something. Then they kinda come back.
I don’t mind the work, I just find a type of… I dunno… irony in it all that makes it somewhat humurous? It’s like you take a person who does something because they think that its going to “pave a road to easy street”, only to find out in the long term that it’s much more work and stress inducing in the long term just in order to maintain that type of momentum and income.
Here’s an example: MLP was big for a while, but then people began to move onto Steven Universe and when that was at it’s peak people began to move onto Undertale and so on…
Meanwhile said person has to constantly find new ways to adapt for their channels to survive. Basically in a nutshell, the individual in question ends up in a perpetual cycle of keeping up with the Joneses.
Hope I wasn’t coming off as a dick.
Yeah yeah yeah go moan to your employer we can’t help you with that. Ain’t my fault you didn’t get higher education lol
(I initially thought I posted this already.)
I have no problem with Youtubers being compensated for their content. That’s only fair for being paid for something someone puts effort into, wether it be Let’s Plays, reviews, or simple tutorials on things like changing your vacuum cleaner bag. Emphasis on effort though, I mean I get that for a lot of people that have successful channels require a lot of dedication and hard work, channels like The Completionist, Comicstorian, Cinnemasacre just to name a couple. But when I see videos of just a loop video while someone just spouts rheteric? To me thats just lazy and frankly half-assed.
Okay take myself for example, I work an average of 48 to 50 (sometimes 60) hours a week, 10 to 12 hours a day, and you figure after tax I pull down about 100 a day (which isn’t bad in my opnion). Now you get someone on Youtube who creates the aforementoned half-assed content from before and it takes him about 30 minutes to an hour to edit and post (2 hours if were being generous) and because of the conent it’s based of was trending at the time this individual gets something like ten thousand veiws and ad revenue pays what? $18 per thousand veiws or something? That individual made over $500 In that short amount of time, though I’m not saying thats with tax taken out. and my math could be completely off.
But you can kinda see where I’m coming from right?
Oh, and, OK boomer

GOOD POINT. Yes. That makes sense. I know that myself.
Also, that’s how it’s always been. Even historically.
I mean, whatever. You’re donating your own cash and you’re feeding someone, so ok.
These YouTubers are obviously only doing stuff for the money…
Sorry, I didn’t mean to go off on another tangent. It just boggles the mind that they’re are people willing to “donate” money just to listen someone rant about their veiws and opnions as if they were actual facts. It’s like, are most people just that lazy to be unable to think for themselves? So they have to give someone else on the internet money, just to be told how they should think and feel? I must be in the wrong line of work.
…that’s how it’s always been. Jeez.
To be fair he never quoted that, but at the same time I can’t help but feel thats how the majority of them are. None of them like being told that they are wrong on some things or unless your donating to their patreons or go fund-me accounts, they won’t even bother striking up a casual conversation. I mean, yeah I get that for some it’s a full time job for some. But for those who actually put a bit of effort into their content are the ones who deserve respect. Rather than the click-baity-garbage that YouTube is starting to become known for.
If someone wants to talk about a topic? Fine by all means, but when I see people monetizing videos of themselves talking in the background while something else is being played (i.e. a videogame like metal gear ect.)
That’s just effortless and lazy.
“If you want to continue listening to me rant about meaningless bullshit while I play a video that holds no context to the topic whatsoever… click on the link to my Patreon!”
That’s basically how I feel about it in a nutshell.
