Just the one story, and remember, the abandoned ponies were (A) civilians and (B) city guard more used to chasing thieves, not dueling three griffons at the same time if he’s lucky, considerably more than three griffons if not lucky.

maybe the reason is that the raiders quickly find themselves at the mercies of the small village, because you do not fuck with ponies.
