Ilumina was the result of an extremely complicated spell; Solace (Discord is adamant his name is Beast) is a spirit created by Discord in his image. Chaos magic wasn’t stable enough for this, so he had to borrow a more harmonious power from the tree. Shenanigans ensue.
I might get around sometime to play with nextgen characters because I never got to
