Oh god I wish. I taught gradeschoolers for one semester. Never. Ever. Again. I’d rather live in a house filled with snakes.

Religious beliefs shouldn’t be offensive to anyone when it’s not being treated like a cult you have to be a part of or else. For all you know it’s the local branch of the Church of Celestia; the way it’s portrayed here doesn’t shove it in your face enough to know, and if you weren’t so blatantly antireligious you’d be aware that a lot of local church groups run volunteer activity programs for children that have nothing to do with religion.
 
This comic isn’t a commentary on religion, it’s not about religion, and featuring a pastor as a character shouldn’t matter. You do not have to be a religious person to enjoy the comic. Act like an adult instead of treating an ant hill like a mountain.

Grade schoolers are the devil.

It’s been a thing for quite awhile in this series.

Religion exists, deal with it. I mean, this fan series has had some random ‘shipping, some OOC moments, some lewd jokes, some fan-characters, some unnecessary drama, some mean-spirited jokes, ponies acting too human/using modern human inventions, (not seen in the show) and it’s funny of all those controversial things, it’s a mere hint of “religion” that is what is “triggering.”
 
(That said, this fan series is still good despite those things, I say. Some of those things in a way probably make it more interesting, and overall it’s not meant to be taken seriously, or meant to be canon with the show.)
 
In fairness, no specific religion is being specified or being preached here, (and I recall a Pony wearing a priest-like collar was seen at a funeral in the actual show, so you might as well get upset about that too) and considering the punchline, maybe it was to emphasise the joke that “Sunday School kids aren’t as well behaved as people assume.”

The moment you bring religion into this is the moment I lose interest. Could’ve easily just been a normal school.
