… This is fanfic art for the story “Background Pony.” I’m referring to the part in the fanfic where Snips’ father is a delusional and drunken fool who beats his family regularly for no real reason, except what he imagines through his own insecurities. And no, Lyra’s not married to him; she just learned of him. She tried to stop his abuse, but for the curse she has, she can’t for a while. Again, she did beat the shit out of him for it since nobody remembers her.

This could be the part of the story where she’s trying to report a horribly abusive alcoholic husband to the police, and then the officers forgot why they’re there. She did beat the shit out of the husband later.
