As would I! Momlestia is Best Twilight’s Mom (I have nothing against Twilight’s cannon mom, Twilight Velvet, but I prefer to see Celestia [in a Mufasa-type role, with Twilight as Simba] as Twilight’s true mom. It just fits, ya know?

It just goes to show that there will always be an aspect of the characters yet to be explored by this giant fandom.  
As someone who draws, I encourage you all to not wait for someone else to explore it, but to do it yourself and see how it turns out.

This just started bugging me today.
 
Most of us are aware that the art of Celestia acting motherly towards filly!Twi is some of the most D’AAWWWW-inducing art the community has produced. It shows Equestria’s millenia-old ruler willing to treat a child she’d never met as her own daughter.
 
Excluding this, the number of ‘momlestia’ pics is over 70.
 
So why hasn’t this been rule 63’d?
 
Is it because Solaris (Who need I remind everyone, is just Celestia as a Stallion) isn’t capable of displaying the same care and compassion towards colt!Dusk?
 
Is it that artists are just unsure of how to genderflip the concept without making Solaris look like a pedophile?
 
Or is it something else that I’m not thinking of?
