It is true that most people have unrealistic expectations for both their own bodies and others’, yes.
 
People eventually just grow up and accept that nobody’s perfect. It becomes a mutual thing; you accept someone else’s imperfections, they accept yours, and you love each other anyway. You love and support someone because they do the same for you, not in spite of it. That’s the only reason you love them, and it’s the only one you need.
 
It’s beautiful, really. Having someone love you anyway, despite your problems, and all they ask in return is that you do the same for them.
