Finally finished my #sixfanarts ;u; One thing I figured out is that when I draw fan art, I really like to replicate the official style instead of drawing the characters in “my style”. I know this isn’t really something marketable for me, but I do think managing to replicate other styles is more rewarding and could take you further in art, instead of being stuck drawing the same way all the time. Of course people who want to build a brand on their own style is great! But replicating other styles is just another road to take and it’s more useful in working with other people with bigger projects if you can be flexible. Mastering your own style is something you do for yourself, but replicating is a skill valued in animations, comics and other collaborative works. I am not a master of replicating art styles, but I find a lot of interest in it and I love to learn more about other new professional styles.
