Those armour designs could be seen as overkill. Often simple, sleek character designs are the ones that leave people in awe.
Well,by my definition an awesome and badass armor is the armor of the Evil Overlord,for example, take a look at the armor designs of Mordekaiser,Morgoth,Sauron,Witch-King of Angmar and the Lich King.
It looks cool.
And everyone knows that the more awesome and impractical looking a guy’s armor is, the more protection it gives.
What is so badass about a purple and gold sheet of metal that by its design does not protect at all?
