If there were bigotry here, then calling it out would be the right thing to do. There is not, so drawing attention to it just reminds queer people of how inescapable the drama surrounding our existence is.

Mostly that doesn’t happen much these days. Sometimes pictures like this get more downvotes than they deserve, but anti-pride comments are a lot less common than they used to be. Instead of getting upset about something that hasn’t happened yet and very likely won’t happen, maybe a better way to show support is to leave positive comments on pride images?
