There have been many times when both Tom and Jerry (mostly Tom though) have had the occasional line. The most famous probably being Tom’s “Don’t you believe it”. A personal favorite is “Say, something is burning around here.”
 
Also, I’m just gonna post this because I can. It never gets old.
 
Fun fact, all those screams or at least the iconic ones are done by William Hanna (the Hanna part of HannaBarbara), one of the creators of Tom and Jerry.

Why do you say that? Alot of people were complaining about “Pony Life” constantly.
 
I like it, because I like the chibi looks, and semi-silent stop-motion animation style. I also find it funny people hate seeing Celestia kinda chibi-fied, because chibi Celestia or Woona fanart is usually popular, and people hated Twilight becoming Celestia-fied.

Guess i am only one not like this animate style, I missed G4 Celestia already.This one looks meh, just looks a big downgrade

Tom and Jerry also spoke in their first animated movie if I remember that correctly. I think it was the movie where they met an human girl that ran away from home to try and find her dad at an log cabin to stop her aunt and that butler from getting rich off her dad’s money.
 
I think that was the only one time that they really spoke.
 
…Robyn Starling…? I think that was her name… Hold on, let me check…
 
Whoa, I got her name right?! Holy shit… I haven’t watched that movie in over 20 years!
 
Yeah, I’m not likely to watch that lame movie again. It wasn’t that good.

Yeah there was an episode where a baby duck imprints on Tom and it talks throughout the episode. And there was also one where Tom dies and the guy at the gates of heaven tells him he’s going to hell because of everything he’s done to Jerry over the years unless he’s able to make amends. Those are just two examples.

They did? I only remember Tom yelling and he sang in one of them, trying to woo a female cat.
 
I do seem to remember Wile E. Coyote [Genius] speaking once or twice.

Tom & Jerry, Shaun the Sheep, Wile E. Coyote, and such don’t need dialogue.
 
And apparently, the animated 2D version will be voiced by the FIM cast supposedly.
