Common misunderstanding, but soft vore means prey goes into the pred in a single, typically unharmed piece. Hard vore has the usual rip-and-tear stuff. Either soft or hard can end in digestion/fatal (much more likely so with the latter), but for endosoma to happen, it has to be soft and no-digestion.
