I understand, but some are kinda using it to push their “Fighting Herds is better then Smash! Smash sux cuz it doesn’t hav guud online!” trolling, and it’s getting annoying, and even putting a friend of mine off supporting “Fighting Herds”… (So I’m actually worried it’s going to turn SSB fans off supporting FH.) I understand there’s irony in an Indie game doing something better, then a big-budget AAA game, but some take it too far.

I assume the problem is Nintendo/Namco uses a different engine for SSB, whch probably isn’t as optimal as those games for online, plus, Skull Girls & Fighting Herds use 2D assets, and sprites, making it easier to run online.

I am the one who made the original image and it was intended to be just a harmless joke. I am actually planning to purchase Switch at some point and SSBU is one of the games I am interested in. On the other hand, the robust netcode in indie fighters like Skullgirls and TFH serves as a reminder that Nintendo could implement similar solution for SSBU, but for one reason or another hasn’t.

If anything, I was hoping that high-profile event like EVO Online would give the needed push for Japanese developers to start implementing the rollback netcode on larger scale. Of course, I understand why the event was cancelled and why the developers of TFH chose to pull the game even before that.

Now to all the TFH fans bashing SSBU for not getting in EVO, and such, I almost wanna laugh back at you guys.
So sorry, no EVO for you guys either, (honestly I never cared for EVO anyway) TFH has been pulled from it too.

EVO isn’t everything, and if you want more people to support TFH, don’t bash other decent well-liked games to try to make it look better, or to be contrarians, you’re just going turn off the fans of those games from supporting TFH. You’re not doing TFH or it’s creators any favors by acting childish.

The “biggest and most expansive fighting game to date” can’t afford GGPO rollback netcode but a indie fighting game made literally by 6 developers can.
Hmmm…. right is not something…
