it took me WAY Too long to make these simple six heads omg
still thinking about what to focus on MLP-wise (something I want to do during the week where I’m not uploading breaking the mold), so in the meantime here’s the first lil batch of my Guardianship-verse characters vs their official future counterparts :‘>
We got Twilight and Twilight Sparkle; both highly intelligent, with a keen passion to learn and an adoration for books. Their main differences definitely come from G4 Twilight being (at least especially earlier on) much more a stickler for rules and order, and more inclined to go into a paranoid OCD frenzy. G1 Twilight in contrast does her studying in nearly 100% field work and bum rushes herself into danger on a regular basis (thus her injuries).
Posey and Fluttershy: Same colours? Same colours! They’re both very much the same in how they’re soft spoken, incredibly kind, and are filled with a paternal need to care for others (children and animals, respectively). But Posey is eons ahead of Fluttershy in the confidence department, as her role in caring for babies and toddlers has given her a firm disposition and a knack for talking others down when squabbles break out.
Firefly and Rainbow Dash: PRETTY MUCH THE SAME CHARACTER NGL. Daredevil pegasi, cocky, lacking in brains here and there, not a fan of failure. Biggest difference overall is (at least in my own headcanons) Firefly is big gal and Rainbow is lil gal.
And either tonight or tomorrow I will also do Pinkie Pie and Surprise, Rarity and Sparkler, and Applejack and….Applejack
What makes plants more natural than animals? Arguably, the bottom of the food chain is worms who feed on the chemicals toxic to plants in the earth.
Very nice art, though. I’d always imagined the past gen counterparts could serve as parents for the G4 characters (maybe even have not only Firefly but also G3 RD as a more loveable second mother, who was more into getting cute dresses for her daughter while Firefly wanted to see her in action, but that’s my own little headcanon).
