For a while they didn’t share a bed. And they did an episode where Lucy has to reveal she’s pregnant without using the word “pregnant.”

TV censors had a cow over “I love Lucy” having them share a bed, I recall. They also thought Howard Hughs’ movies were too risqué.
You couldn’t show a married couple sitting fully clothed in the same bed back then.
I remember that one “Punch Drunks.”
I’m actually a li’l surprised they got away with even mentioning a tapeworm back then. Back then you couldn’t even say or show a toilet.
