I’d argue that since EVO didn’t contact the Mane 6 team to ask if they wanted to be in the running, that they shouldn’t take the blame. But that’s just me.

So, let me get this straight: fighting is magic was non profit, the mane6 refused to accept any donations to avoid any legal traits, but then they have this idea of getting into that EVO thing (wich I don’t know what the hell that is) wich apparently demanded donations, and now we are surprised that hasbro sended a letter to them? I mean, why they even…?

Shards of Equestria, MLP: Online, and others victims in the past have been caught by surprise. Mane6 sort of expected this though. Hope they could work things out and in best case scenario continue working on the game. Even though I’m not a gamer, especially in the fighting game department. It’s really unfortunate to see anything flavourful produced by the fandom get shot down.

Its a shame when things like this get knocked down when they’re almost done, but this is not the first, or last time, it will happen. I can’t imagine that the guys doing the work didn’t at least consider this possibility.
 
Perhaps we’ll get an almost complete beta version ‘leaked’ like what happened with the Chrono Trigger fan sequel, Crimson Echoes, awhile back.

“The project will be continued. Some changes will be made so it shall be outside Hasbro’s legal grasp”.
 
Wouldn’t it be hard to make a game with no graphics with MLP and then graphics would be installed as a mod?

I said to myself, As someone who never bough anything about my little pony in stores (I’m too much of a shy guy), I will make an exception if fighting is magic and other game can continue.

I don’t think 200 signatures would be able to work. Now if it was like 100k then maybe. When I say maybe it would on principle show hasbro that it’s not in their best interest to alienate that many of the fans and having 100k people sign it would show enough of the viewerbase has a interest in the game that not giving the go ahead would be bad for business.
