Considering the amount of fan content we get away with I’d say Hasbro has been kinder than most companies. But to imply they’re fascists because they want to enforce their ownership rights is stupid. I’m not upset because I knew this would happen, nearly every fangame ever created is hit with a C&D by the owning company, you don’t honestly think they’d let anyone make a full product with their characters in it and give it away for free without receiving royalties? Because Hasbro wants to demoralize them out of ever working on something like this again. It’s not enough to stop the project from getting made– they want to make an example out of the people who make awesome stuff without their permission.

Why do companies always pull this crap when a project’s already been worked on for months?  
It’s one thing to C&D a non-profit fan project but it’s kind of an extra dick move that it’s one that so much effort had been put into.

We should make some kind of study about how fandom dies to save ourself by learnig from their mistakes. But I give to you that it don’t happen often, there is still page about show that ended 5 years ago or more, with no possibility of come back(real end with dead villains and all) and still fans keep fueling it.

So do you plan to watch tomorrow’s new episode or not?
