And the first three episodes of FIM are the weakest of the season and that was over an hour of content we’ve only had 22mins of pony life

I’m sure there were such moments from FIM tho? Two episodes I can remember is Horse Play and Between Dusk and Dawn.

Y’know, I didn’t really care for FIM at first when I saw it’s first episode. …Just saying, sometimes the first episode isn’t a sign of what the whole series will be.

Nicole Oliver not having Celestia sound egal is something needed for this cartoon.

Yeah, agreed. TTG just always gets mentioned, because it’s apparently the go-to, “Everything wrong with modern cartoons/CalArts, kids these days!” (Even though it’s not made CalArts people… Ironically, Lauren Faust was CalArts.)
 
Truthfully, TTG, actually has some genuinely funny moments, and even some nice action-y moments. That 1980s “rock oprah” style episode & movie were even praised by people whom hate TTG. (I’ll even admit their MLP parody was funny.)  
The problem with TTG is it’s humor is a bit too mean-spirited usually, and it tries too hard to be a sitcom, then an “action comedy series” like other “lighter softer superhero comedies/parodies.”
 
Judging from the trailer P.L. is more like “Advenures of Sonic,” or “Unikitty” then TTG, and still seems to have the cuteness/innocence MLP is known for.

Unikitty is definitely a much better comparison being a comedic spin-off to an already kinda comedic property.teen Titans go and ThunderCats roar were spin offs/reboots of more serious action shows. fim did have some serious moments but it was always a slice of Life show

I hate to admit it, but I actually liked Unikitty. It felt a bit underrated.  
Underneath it’s craziness, it had some genuinely cute/sweet moments like how Unikitty genuinely cares about her younger brother, and friends. (And even enemies.) It’s edgy humor, mixes well with the cuteness.  
One of my favorite moments was when Unikitty mistakes a manatee for mermaid.
 
So I wouldn’t mind it if P.L. was a slightly less hyperactive “Unikitty.”

Everyone’s quick to make the tired TTG comparison, but me and a few other fans see a more accurate comparison to the Unikitty series. I think it fits more there, given the cute and hyperactivity it has going.

Nobody says the meme-tastic “Adventures of Sonic” looks “bad/like TTG” which uses similar background art. I actually kinda like the absract style, which is actually more difficult to do then more realistic backgrounds.
 
And it’s not like FIM was a “work of art” either. The mountains, and clouds look like something out of “Super Mario World,” and were simply drawn too. Doesn’t make it’s art bad though.
 
It’s a shame people can’t appreciate simple or absract styles anymore.
