I thought she mentioned Starlight there.
and even then Chrysalis was still obsessed with defeating Twilight. In The Beginning of the End she said something like “I will defeat Twilight and her friends and they will pay for stealing my kingdom”. Since when did Twilight steal her kingdom? She was kidnapped and couldn’t even do anything.
What bothers me is how Chrysalis doesn’t realize that its ultimately Spike that caused her to lose her hive.
Yes, Starlight was the one who well.. pretty much caused the whole skittlebugs thing but SPIKE was the one who befriended Thorax which ended up causing the hive to reform in the end. The fact Chrysalis doesn’t realize Spike befriending Thorax just adds in salt to the wound that Spike got robbed big time in To Where And Back Again.

My thoughts exactly!
I say at least send Tirek back to Tarturus while sending Cozy Glow to some place to evaluate her to find out why a filly like her is crazy. While sending Chrysalis to some care place since she is honestly not mentally well.
At least give them different fates, it was so stupid that they got defeated at the same time
Stone Cozy, kill Tirek, reform Chrysalis would be better
I would trade Cabalaron reformation with trio any day.
Funny thing is, I kinda wanted them to bring Scorpan in and have him make amends with Tirek.
Doesn’t help that a certain chaos spirit is responsible for those 3 to end up being worse off than they were before.
I agree. They could have even still given that message by having one or two of the villians reform.
They had three villians to work with. They could easily have gone the direction that at least one of them realized their mistakes, while the other two didn’t. It could have been a great way for them to overcome the villians. By having an assist from the one that has a change of heart.
Because the writers want to go “not everyone can change”.
Even though that criteria is already reached with what happened to Sombra, Storm King, the Shadows, etc.
Because the writers are edgy
I wonder what would have happened if Twilight or somepony like that had seen what was happening on the mountain. Saying just the right thing at the right moment might have been all it took to tip the scales for all three. Unfortunately, as we know, it was not to be.
