When you put it that way, I guess it works. I never expected Applejack to have noble blood but you know what? Maybe she just doesn’t like bragging about it.
 
But in all seriousness, they kind of are similar in a way.

Well, let’s start with the fact that Samurai Jack was created by Genndy Tartakosvky, Lauren’s husband and frequent collaborator. I haven’t checked, but it wouldn’t surprise me if Lauren wrote some episodes.
 
In addition to that:
 
-both Jack and Applejack refuse to lie
 
-both Jack and Applejack possess a degree of super-strength
 
-both wield a weapon that only the pure of heart can wield, and that can only hurt evildoers (the Magic Sword, and the Element of Honesty)
 
-both have massive amounts of willpower
 
-both prefer to not talk much
 
-both are pretty level-headed and down-to-Earth

What does AJ even have in common with Samurai Jack? Other than the name. Whatever it’s awesome.
 
She looks like an fine lady samurai though. She could probably with her strength slash through those Timberwolves.
