What, the comment where [...] surveyed the site and laid the foundation.[/bq]
I like how you harp on about "b-but muh other meet-ups and small group convos". The point has been that the fandom wouldn't be what it is today, nor as big, if it didn't spread far and wide through 4chan versus elsewhere/other means. [bq]

Love them, hate them, be indifferent to them, but /b/ and /co/ had a huge effect on what the fandom would become.[/bq]
And they're right. The online streams + the massive activity on the board(s) both shaped the culture on top of making it well-known. Not to mention that it was an untapped market that likely made hasbro much more cash, which is a big motivator for a company to keep them making the product.

"How do you think channers even found out about it in the first place?"_
*
Except, you can't definitively say [without proof] what came first or how things were actually found out about by all these people. They could've found it _*like everyone else did_*.

"The show was instantly [...] fandom stuff."_

Which, again, could have (and is likely) due to 4chan. Whether it was spreading it or posting it in the first place. But I guess we'll never know it wasn't 4chan since you don't like posting proof~

Except, literally _*no one_* was saying this. Everyone is still free to say what they want, and rule #0 would still be in effect. And absolutely no one was calling for a rule #0 repeal. Quit with the misrepresentation. But we know you won't~

Wait a minute, that got removed? I thought that was a clever joke though. Damn.
