Note: The following is my headcanon and my version of how I see my humanized versions of the MLP characters and does not affect the show itself. If you don’t like them then oh well.
 
Jacqueline “Applejack” Taimanov is a Texas girl who is a descendant of Russian Jewish Apple farmers. After her parents died, Jacqueline, her brother Benjamin and younger sister Laurenwere taking in by their Grandmother, Sasha who taught them the value of hard work and the Jewish faith. Because of these values, Jacqueline has a strict honor code, works hard and to always be honest to those around you and treat people with respect. Working on her grandmother’s farm has made her into the woman she truly is and wears a Star of David necklace to show her Jewish heritage. She is also a lesbian, and is also quite proud of that. While her outside family and some others in the community are uncomfortable but her main family accepted her for who she is. Upon meeting the her new teammates she was seen as being too country and a hick which did not sit well with her but they soon learn to accept her. Jacqueline was given the Element of Honesty which which gave her the power of forest manipulation. She can control the land, control all the plants and roots around and even make wooden versions of monsters called Golems ,monsters from Jewish legend that were used to protect the Jewish people from persecution.
