Western zombies typically feed on human flesh and/or brains, and they usually have a full range of movement, though their movements are often rather slow.
Jiangshi feed on the qi (life energy) of the living, and their bodies are almost always stiff from rigor mortis, causing them to have to hop around with their arms permanently outstretched.

Jiangshi can double as vampires, as they feed off the life force of their victims. They move by hopping with their arms out, due to rigor mortis, and they’re often seen in clothing from the Qing Dynasty

What is the difference between Chinese(The name in derpibooru is just the Pinyin of the Chinese name of “zombie”,Including the word “Pinyin”) zombies and Western zombies?

I pretty much draw the line at outright zombies though, even when they’re drawn cute. Like, everyone always draws the zombie girl from Shantae while I’m just sitting there wishing they’d draw the cute slime girl a lot more XD

The movie Van Helsing kind of touches on that, but in a much more villainous way. The villagers of this town don’t fight back against the vampires because they know the vampires only kill when they’re hungry. When Van Helsing shows up and kills a vampire, the villagers are pissed because now the vampires are going to start murdering out of revenge :P

And, like, even for vampires, it shouldn’t be too hard. Just find a small village or something and offer to protect them from monsters, bandits, or whatever else that may attack them, and in exchange, someone from the village gives you a few hundred millilitres of blood every so often.

I think it’s because most portrayals want them to be villainous. Because lets be honest, like with cubi at least, a beautiful woman or a handsome man wants to “be” with you and the only drawback is you’re tired the next day? Like, sign me the heck up. Like, look at the changelings from MLP. A creature that feeds on “love” and can look like Chris Evans on a whim? Not seeing the problem with a changeling invasion here XD

That’s a common thing I don’t understand about portrayals of monsters like Vampires and Cubi; even though they’re very highly reliant (or oftentimes completely dependant) on humans, they’re usually pretty happy to kill humans, which would be pretty bad if they wanted a sustainable food source. You’d think they would stop short of killing to try to get on people’s good sides (which would be especially easy for non-killing Cubi), but the thought of sustainability never seems to occur to them in most media portrayals.

For regular Jiangshi, I believe they typically kill by stealing all your chi or something to that effect (though I could be completely mistaken).  
But to hug a cute pony Jiangshi, I think it may be worth it.
