That’s kinda the reason i drew this…the overwhelming majority of art of such a thing happening is immediate panic or struggle, i wanted to see someone actually enjoying it for once.

This is part 3 of the sequence, the necklace was glowing in part 2, signifying that she will transform. Since in the movie the pearl (of which the necklace is made of) that could transform hippogriffs and ponies into seaponies didn’t require constantly touching said pearl, it’s a safe bet that removing the necklace AFTER transforming won’t change her back into a hippogriff.
 
She transformed into a seapony between Part 2 and 3, removed and threw the necklace in part 3.

and wait. the main form is hippogriff

and necklace just change you from hippogriff to seapony and and vice versa  
if you wear off it you not change into seapony  
it’s a little mistake
