Snakes really get a bad rep for shit that isn their fault.

Snakes do not “see” with their tongues, they see with their eyes. They don’t use their nostrils to smell so they use their tongues to “smell” by tasteing the air.  
Now granted they very bad eye sight and they use their sense of taste and touch (as they are deaf and use vibrations to hear) way more they their eyes, so i guess you say they “see” that way, but the statement is not worded correctly.  
Also “smelling” with the tongue is not unique to snakes as lizards also do it.  
Also, to the asker, not all snakes are venomous.

If I had a choice of getting bitten by a snake with a neurotoxic bite and snake with a hemotoxic bite, I’d rather the neurotoxin. Though, ideally, I’d rather not get bitten at all.

I remember the day I got bit by my snake. Same day I got pooped on by him as well….

I like snakes. But all the ones in my yard are just garter snakes. harmless.

That is possible, There is somebody who got immune through that method.
