Description

The sun finally rose on a new day. Lustre, already awake, ran into her parents’ room and jumped on their bed.

“It’s today! It’s today!” cried Lustre with all her might. She came down and galloped to the kitchen.

The door to Applebloom’s room opened slowly.

“What’s wrong with her? Asked the poor farm girl we just woke up.

It’s her first day at school!” Applejack replied, pulling Twilight out of bed.

A few minutes later, the princess arrived in the kitchen. Lustre was already eating the breakfast her Uncle Big Mac had prepared for her. Twilight sat down next to her and explained to her:

“You know, Lustre, this is a very important day, you have to be careful how you look and how you look to other people, and don’t forget…”

Lustre cut her mother.

“You know, I’m not just the Princess’ daughter, I’m a real Apple!”

She put her bowl away, then prepared a tray with a pie and apple juice. She grabbed it and took it up to her great-grandmother Granny Smith, who was too sick to leave her room. Granny was still asleep, so she had to put the tray down gently and then gently close the door. She quickly went through her room to put on her lucky scarf and tied up her hair. She hurried back downstairs, grabbed her satchel and left the house. Twilight and Applejack were talking quietly in the farmhouse when their daughter arrived. They stopped immediately, as if they were hiding something from her. Twilight took her daughter in her arms and apologized for her morning lessons, as she knew very well that Lustre was different from the other fillies. She smiled at him and flew away to Canterlot. Applejack gave his daughter an apple, then watched her happily leave for school, before shouting at Applebloom, who had gone back to bed!

Arriving at the front of the school, Lustre noticed two fillies, taller than her, laughing mockingly. She approached slowly and saw a poor griffon crying.

“We understand why you were adopted! Your parents probably wanted a crybaby! Says the first one, giggling.

By the way, what species are you? You look like crap! If you have a beauty mark, your talent will surely be your ugliness!” added the other.

Lustre couldn’t stand another word. She approached and stood in front of the griffin. The griffin looked at her with big eyes, not understanding the act of this filly.

“Leave him alone! She screams.

Oh look, laughed one of the fillies, the local farmer’s maid comes to his rescue! What are you going to do, throw me an apple?”

They screamed with laughter, which annoyed Lustre even more.

“I can do magic too! Rajouta Lustre

Oh, I forgot, explained the second, you’re the daughter of Princess Twilight! But why aren’t you at the school of magic for gifted unicorns? Have you failed your exam?”

Lustre wanted to cry, for the two plagues had touched a sore spot, but she took a deep breath and used, with difficulty, her magic to throw her notebooks at them. The two fillies laughed as they walked towards the entrance of the school. Lustre picked up her books and began to shed a few tears. A few seconds later, she noticed a leg full of claws, handing her a book. She raised her head and saw the griffon’s head smiling at her.

“Thank you for sticking up for me.” He suddenly says…

Lustre smiled at him, and took the book out of his paw.

“My name is Lustre Elstar, she explained as she picked up the rest of her books, and it’s my first day of school.

My name is Gabin, continued the griffin, holding her bag, and it’s my first day at school too!”

She retrieved her bag finally tidied up and they walked to the classroom door. They walked silently and looked at each other in the corner. Gabin said:

“I really like your scarf…”

Lustre blushed and discovered friendship for the first time.
